Which female hormone test should I choose?

The right test depends on your symptoms and what you'd like to investigate. 

  • Hormonal imbalance: If you have irregular periods, acne, low mood, low libido, unwanted hair growth, or persistent fatigue, a comprehensive female hormone profile offers the most complete assessment. 
  • Fertility or pregnancy: If you're trying to conceive or investigating fertility, tests can assess ovulation and reproductive hormones. Some also include a human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) hormone test to measure pregnancy hormone levels.

Do I need to test every female hormone?

Can I take a hormone test if I'm on the contraceptive pill or HRT?

Can hormone tests diagnose menopause? 

Menopuase and perimenopause are diagnosed based on symptoms and menstrual history rather than blood tests. Can hormone levels change from day to day?
