Mercury : Creatinine
This test measures the level of mercury in your urine relative to creatinine, which adjusts for how diluted or concentrated your urine sample is. Therefore, this ratio provides a more accurate assessment of mercury exposure than measuring mercury alone. Mercury is a toxic heavy metal that can accumulate in the body through exposure to contaminated fish, dental amalgam fillings, or environmental sources. Elevated levels may indicate ongoing exposure to mercury and can be associated with neurological symptoms, kidney problems, and other health issues.
