Dr Aimee Billington BSc (Hons), MBBS, DFFP, DRCOG, MRCGP, MSc

Dr Aimee Billington is a GP in Wandsworth where she works within a multidisciplinary team coordinating care for patients with complex medical needs. Aimee is also involved in mentoring and training healthcare professionals, and she tutors on a sports medicine master’s degree course.

Aimee joined Medichecks as a reporting doctor in 2020 and supports people with a variety of backgrounds, including questions around fertility, menopause, and sports performance. Aimee studied medicine at Imperial College London and completed her masters in sports and exercise medicine at University College London.

As a sports enthusiast herself, Aimee is frequently out running or training for a triathlon and uses her own experience of sports and injuries and professional knowledge to support her patients.

We asked Aimee about what makes her most passionate about medicine.

Dr Aimee Billington:

“Sports medicine and women’s health are my two passions as a doctor. As a sporty person, I combine my knowledge and experience of sports injuries to provide well-rounded care. Outside of the practice, I also have a great family life, and I’m a mother to two young children.”

“In my women’s health clinic, I help patients with issues from contraception to fertility and support women going through menopause. Pregnancy planning has shifted in recent years from people not only seeking help if they’re having problems but supporting patients to understand their future chance of pregnancy.”
