Purpose of this role

Reporting to the stock control manager, the purpose of this role is to assist in the maintenance and upkeep of all stock control procedures and the manufacturing of kits adhering to Medichecks policies and procedures. This is a hands-on role within the fulfilment center.


Role and responsibilities 

Assisting stock control manager with the following:

Receiving and Storing Goods:

  • Receive incoming goods and verify their condition and quantity.
  • Organise and store goods in designated locations within the warehouse.
  • Ensure proper labelling and documentation of all incoming stock.

Picking of manufacturing components:

  • Retrieve items from stock based on pick lists or orders.
  • Ensure accuracy of picked items.
  • Setting up kit builds ready for assembly.

Inventory Management:

  • Assist with regular stock checks to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Assist in conducting periodic audits to reconcile physical stock with system records.

Health and Safety Compliance:

  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures while handling goods and operating warehouse equipment.
  • Keep work areas clean and organised to minimise hazards.
  • Report any safety incidents or concerns.

Quality Control:

  • Identify and segregate any non-conforming products for further evaluation or rework.
  • Record inspection results and communicate any quality issues to supervisors.

Skills and experience

Essential:

  • Previous experience of data inputting, stock counting and picking.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft office packages, specifically excel.
  • Understanding of health and safety at work.
  • Good written English and mathematics skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • A flexible attitude to work and hours.
  • Able to work unassisted and as part of a team.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience of using stock control software.
  • Previous experience of working in a goods in department.
  • Previous manual handling training or experience as some lifting will be required.
  • Clean driving license
