Over the last few years, there has been a huge rise in the number of us taking an active role in our health and recently there has been a significant shift in people’s attitudes. More and more of us don't just care about how we look on the outside, but also how well our bodies are working on the inside. Here at Medichecks, we are keen to help you understand what is happening inside your body. In our view, blood tests are not just for diagnosing conditions when you are ill but are also an excellent way to give you an insight into how your everyday choices affect your health and wellbeing.

To launch our new inner health campaign, we created the UK's first 'work-in' gym at London's Liverpool Street Station on January 18th, supported by former model and fitness fanatic Nell McAndrew who wore an inside-out bodysuit which showcased the inside workings of the body. The gym was designed to give commuters an inner-body health MOT and members of the public were given a simple, finger prick blood test which identified specific areas of the gym to use based on the results. Dumbbells were filled with supplements to raise levels of vitamin D and iron, gym balls targeted the city's rising cortisol levels and an exercise bike was linked to a juicer, to promote the need for a balance of exercise and nutrition. Medichecks Medical Director Dr Sam Rodgers and Dr Emil Hodzovic were on hand to chat with the public about their results and offered advice on what they could do to improve.

The 'work-in' gym event marked the launch of our new range of Health and Fitness tests, which includes 3 individual tests: an Essential, Plus, and Advanced. The tests are designed for anyone interested in improving their fitness and all measure a number of essential health markers such as cholesterol and blood sugar, as well as more comprehensive markers that affect fitness ability, including iron, vitamin D and testosterone.

As well as launching our new range of Health and Fitness tests, this month we have some fantastic offers on including our Diet and Lifestyle Check Plus and our Well Man and Well Woman UltraVit tests. There has never been a better time to get to know yourself inside and out. Order your test today and take control of your health!
