If you are female you may want testing if you have irregular, absent or heavy periods, are on hormone replacement therapy, have difficulty in becoming pregnant or are unable to have a baby.
If you are male you may want to know your testosterone level. You may have been advised to have other hormone tests to diagnose specific conditions relating to symptoms.
Hormones are chemical substances formed in organs and glands that travel through the body via the blood stream. They control many biological processes such as muscle growth, heart rate, hunger and menstrual cycle.
