Fertility tests and fertility screens are for people who want to investigate and assess fertility.
The tests assess male and female hormone levels, reduction in available eggs, the quality and quantity of sperm, infection of the fallopian tubes and other general conditions that affect fertility.
In about one-third of cases infertility is due to female factors. In another one third it is due to male factors. Factors that influence fertility are age, stress, poor diet, being overweight or underweight, smoking, alcohol, and sexually transmitted diseases.
